AOL America On Line

For this year, I am recommending Kiplinger TaxCut. After installing it, there are no AOL or AT&T viruses! I would like to thank the folks at Intuit for showing me the better (Kiplinger TaxCut) software package to use! Thank you very much!

I don't know why Intuit seems to have packaged a lot of their software with AOL?

I personally think taxes are taxing enough, with out seeing that stupid damn AOL icon on my desktop after loading Turbo tax! I removed it, I know computers, I know how to uninstall the AOL virus! I call this a virus because, I didn't buy AOL, I purchased a tax program and got AOL as a result!

I wrote Intuit an email asking why they did this, but no response. About 8 months later, I bought Family Lawyer, and Business Lawyer, without realizing they were also put out by Intuit! As you might guess, they both put the damn virus on my machine again! But lucky for me, I am a computer guy, and I know how to get rid of the damn things!

Once again I wrote Intuit an email but no answer! I can only guess that by now, the folks at Intuit have me on auto delete!

It could be Intuit is way of working with AOL to design software that automatically sends files from your pc without your knowledge! I don't even use AOL, and I get attachments with email, that the AOL customer had no idea they were sending. Sometimes personal information!

And don't you find it strange that Janet Reno thinks she has a right to monitor your communications, and AOL is quick to give any information to anyone that identifies themselves as government officials!

I call this the AOL virus, because, I didn't buy AOL, but that's what I got!

I asked the folks at Intuit if they have plans to stop including the AOL virus with their software? No answer! I did use Turbo Tax for the longest time, but now I have to look elsewhere for a good tax program that is not so damn taxing. Thanks Intuit!

The way AOL behaves, one has to think that Janet Reno must have stock in the company!
